- Place of origin: Africa, Asia.
- Description: Herbaceous and annual or perennial vines with blue or white flowers resembling morning glory. Leaves are small and dark green. Stem is square. May be shaped into shrubs.
- Grow best: In well-drained soil, in full sun to partial shade and regular watering. Regular pruning may be done to shape the shrubs, which however adversely affects its flowering. Propagation is vegetative, by cuttings.
- Use: In mixed beds and low hedges.
