Description: Short-lived annual, herbaceous shrub with hairy leaves rich in oil. Leaf shapes may vary from simple to pinnate. Fragrant flowers may be blue, lilac, blackish purple or yellowish tubular flowers.
Grow best: In well-drained soil, in full sun with minimum need for fertilizer. Propagation by seeds.
Use: In outdoor gardens , parks. The medicinal oil is extracted from the flowers and both the flowers and the greens are used in cooking pastas, salads and baking cupcakes too.
