  • Scientific name:  Artemisia pallens
  • Place of origin: South India.
  • Description: Aromatic herb with small yellow flowers in racemose panicles.
  • Grow best:  In rich, well-drained soil with adequate but not over watering.
  • Use:  Leaves and flowers used in making Davana oil. The tender sprigs are used in  making garlands along with other flowers for prayers. Popular in hair garlands combined with orange ‘kanangabaram’ flowers.
