- Place of origin: South East Asia. Name originated from Tamil Pambilimasu.
- Description: Trees grow to about 8m and bear fruits resembling grapefruits.
- Grow best: In full sunlight, in any type of soil that is moist but well-drained. Water once a week.
- Gardening Tips: Use citrus fertiliser.
- Use: The skin of pomelo is very rich in bioflavonoids and suggested to slow growth of some cancers. Fruit segments are delicious added to salads without membrane.
