  • Place of origin: South Africa.
  • Description: Flowering and scrambling shrub growing to 3m. May climb on to other trees and trellises. Bears long leaves and tubular orange flowers that bloom at different times of the year in terminal clusters.
  • Grow best: From cuttings or by removing the rooted suckers during the active growth period. Grow and blooms well in well –drained soil in semi-shade to full sunlight and adequate watering and application of a balanced fertilizer after pruning.
  • Use: Outdoors as hedges and scrambling creepers on trellises.
